44 Weeks Old/10 Months Old

44 Weeks Old/10 Months Old

January 5-11

Tuesday Riley left daycare early because the Wach's had a family emergency. Mike took Riley home and stayed with him.

Wednesday Riley stayed home with great-auntie Oath since daycare was still unavailable.

Thursday was Riley's 10 month birthday, but unfortunately that morning Riley did not seem himself.

While sitting in his high chair before his morning bottle, he threw up a little. I checked his temperature and he didn't have one. I left for work. Mike gave him his bottle, but he only drank a couple ounces. As soon as he got to daycare, he threw up again, so Mike turned around to pick him back up and take him home. Since he had never thrown up before, we were nervous.  Daddy took Riley to get checked at the pediatrician. The doctor thought it was just a stomach bug. This same day, school got out early due to blowing snow, so I got to be home by 1:30 to take care of my baby. Poor boy had a fever of about 100.3.  He was extra cuddly and just wanted to sleep on Mommy or Daddy.  We gave him small bottles and Pedialite.  It stayed down for most of the day until bedtime came.  We gave him a bigger bottle and it ALL came out--all over himself and ALL over mommy!
The next morning Riley seemed better, so we sent him to daycare.  I texted Amanda several times throughout the day to see how my little guy was doing.  She said he was not himself, only wanted to be held, and had diarrhea. That night his fever was still down, but he threw up all over Mommy again before bedtime.
Saturday Riley felt better.  Mommy went to Grandma and Grandpa Wetterling's house to help Auntie Missy with wedding planning.  Riley stayed home with Daddy.  Saturday night Riley was feeling much better and he actually started to dance to a song that was on the tv.
