19 Weeks Old

July 14-20 

 Riley's 19th week was another busy one! 

Wednesday Riley went to his first fair--the West Ottertail County Fair. Daddy was doing a TKD demo at the fair, so we went to watch and walk around.  Grandpa and Grandma Wetterling and the Kangas' came along, too.  Riley and Mommy walked around to see all the animals, rides, and stands.  He wasn't overly enthused, but I can just imagine how excited he will be in the years to come.

Thursday was Riley's 4 month check up. The doctor said that he is doing very well and that he has no concerns!  When everyone talks about "what a big boy" Riley is, they sure aren't kidding!  Riley weighted in at 22 pounds and measured 27.5 inches--that is the 99th percentile for weight and the 96th percentile for length.  The doctor said he is setting his own curve on his chart, but he is proportional, so no need to worry.  Riley had his vaccinations again.  Shots are no fun.  They make me cry just like they make Riley cry.  Riley was such a brave boy, though.  He cried for awhile and then slept for much of the afternoon.  

At night we stopped out at Tipsonah to visit Nancy, Brian, and Charles, who were camping out there. 

On Friday Riley and mommy took a nice, long walk. I LOVE walking with my baby. 

Saturday Riley helped celebrate Mommy's birthday! The whole family rented a pontoon from Barky's Resort on Ottertail Lake.  We spent four hours pontooning and swimming on the lake.  It was GREAT!  Riley didn't mind it.  The life jacket can get frustrating at times, but he did so well.  After the lake, we all went to eat at Zorbaz.  Riley slept through most of this meal.  Fresh air tires a little guy out.  

Then we were back home for the Ashby parade.  Daddy and Riley decided to stay home while Mommy and Missy rode in the parade. 

Sunday was a lazy day at home, re-cooperating after the busy Saturday. We set up Riley's high chair and he enjoyed sitting in that for the very first time!
